News stories: Corporate Film

‘Transforming Energy’ Saudi Aramco

We’ve just created a new brand film for Saudi Aramco ahead of next year's
much anticipated IPO, expected to be the biggest share offering in history,
dwarfing the $22billion raised by the Alibaba Group in 2014. ‘Transforming Energy’ was filmed on location within the Kingdom, London and Shanghai where the film was launched at a gala dinner for senior management and key partners.

Directed by Matt McConaghy with GFX created in-house at Wilder, grading by Claire Winter at Roundtable and mixing by Dom Boucher at the Sound Company.

Saudi Aramco ‘Energy Is Opportunity’

Wilder have just delivered a major new brand film for national oil company Saudi Aramco, directed by Jason Lamotte and produced by Allon Wechsler. Focusing on the opportunities that both petroleum and petrochemicals provide us in our everyday lives and in the development of new and extraordinary technologies. The film was shot on the Arri Alexa in Cape Town, Jeddah and London and post-produced here at Wilder with a 4 man team to design, create and composite all the motion graphics.

eBench. See more, do more.

Have a look at our new film for digital marketing consultancy eBench, created by Chris & David here at Wilder. We all really enjoyed working directly with, eBench founder and digital marketing guru, Derek Hill to produce this film to help define eBench's unique digital marketing visualisation tool.

Shell ‘Ideas 360’

One of the worlds leading energy suppliers, Shell, asked us to produce a film to promote Ideas360 - a global student and graduate competition that they sponsor to find the innovators of the future. The film embraces a ‘Video Diary’ format from the view point of two students, documenting their journey throughout the competition.

Over 2 days we filmed at various locations around London, and the (not so sunny) Sussex coast doubling for the Caribbean! Using only a Go-Pro and Handi-cam with minimal crew helped give the film the raw, energetic style Shell  were looking for.

Wilder Wins GOLD at Cannes

We are delighted to have won Gold at 2013 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards for the interactive film “First2AMillion", produced for The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP).

The film follows a group of teens in their battle to be the first to a million views for their increasingly outrageous films and explores the issues they face when losing control of content online. The interactive film allows viewers to choose what the characters do next, demonstrating to teenagers how easy it is to make the wrong choices online.

The education team from CEOP & the THINKUKNOW campaign took the film on tour, visiting schools across the UK and discussing the issues it raised and the response from students and teachers was overwhelmingly positive;

Alice Hine, a teacher from London, said that “it was a fantastic film and the students were really engaged in the interactive nature, keen to get their opinions across and interested to find out what was going to happen".

The film was judged a great success by CEOP and has gone on to be endorsed by children's charities and police forces across the country. Check out the campaign website:

Saudi Aramco ‘Shaping Tomorrow’

Wilder fought off tough competition to win this pitch for a major new brand film, for arguably the world’s most valuable company, Saudi Aramco. With reserves amounting to a 5th of all the oil in the world and the 4th largest natural gas reserves, the company has a value well over double that of its closest rival Apple.

Using a combination of sophisticated SFX & stunning cinematography this new film projects into a future where Saudi Aramco, acknowledging the worlds ever growing needs, has realised its ambition to become a world-leading petrochemical as well as an Oil & Gas company.

2 GOLDS at New York Film Festivals

2 GOLDS at New York Film Festivals

Wilder picked up two Golds and a Silver at the recent New York Film Festival for “Waiting for Conkers” & ‘ Sexy Tuesdays’. We will need to make the most of these wins as for the first time this year we decided not to enter the IVCA’s and instead  put the cash saved towards a new short film.

Wilder have been ranked 10th in Televisual’s 2013 Top 50 survey of Uk Corporate Production Companies. Even better we are ranked 3rd overall in the prestigious Peer Poll.

Creative director Paul Gowers has moved on to set up his own production company called Buddy and all at Wilder wish him luck in his new venture.

CEOP First to a million

CEOP First to a million

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre, have released an interactive film focusing on the dangers of posting video content to sites like YouTube, highlighting how quickly things can spiral out of control and where they can get help if it does.
The film, created by Wilder and directed by Paul, follows a group of teens in their battle to be first to a million views of their increasingly outrageous films. Start the jouney here.

London 2012 here at last!

London 2012 here at last!

Back in 2004, showjumping at Greenwich Park and beach volleyball at Horse Guards Parade seemed like far flung fantasies. 8 years on it’s been fantastic to watch the promises made in London’s bid brought to life and with such great effect. Like everyone we're absolutely loving the Olympics and are proud to have played a small part in bringing them to London.

The New York Festivals Award results are out and Wilder are dead chuffed to have won three Silver World Medals. Two for Saudi Aramco 'Energy to the World' in Buisness theater and Cinematography and one for KPMG 'The Difference in Us' . Well done and congratulations to all those who worked on the films.
