Friday Night Double Bill

Friday night saw a double-bill screening for Wilder's latest short film 'The Pitch', directed by John Hardwick, alongside feature documentary 'Follow The Money', produced by Dukes of Hackney Productions in association with Wilder. It was a great evening with the two films being very well received by an invited audience of 150 friends, cast, crew & Kickstarter backers. Filming Completed On ‘The Pitch’

Filming Completed On ‘The Pitch’

We have finished filming our short film 'The Pitch', a dark comedy about a desperate confrontation between a self-satisfied producer played by Justin Edwards (The Thick Of It, Respectable) and a wannabe scriptwriter played by Richard Glover (Sightseers, A Field In England).

Scripted by comedy writers Will Maclean & Marc Haynes (Man Stroke Woman, Shaun The Sheep, Celebrity Juice) and shot by Wilder favourites, director John Hardwick and DOP Damian Daniel.

Check out our Facebook page for for some behind the scenes photos & we will keep you posted on the edit.

Is it a bin? Is it rolling pin?... No, it’s our new Mac Pro!

Is it a bin? Is it rolling pin?... No, it’s our new Mac Pro!
It's arrived!
Cue drum roll. Wilder are excited to announce the arrival of the latest generation Apple Mac Pro in our edit suite. In-house editor David Edwards describes this latest Wilder purchase as a state-of-the-art, post-production workstation which boast 3.5GHz 6 core processor with 16GB memory, Dual AMD FirePro D700 GPU with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM... However, in-house creative Chris Chalklen simply says it's small, shiny and beautiful.
Whichever way you want to describe this latest 'Wunderkind' from Apple, we think it's a great addition to our in-house post-production capability and are already putting it through it's paces on our own short film 'The Pitch', three digital ads for Agency TMW and a series of graphic sequences for feature doc 'Follow The Money'.

We’re Not Bragging Or Anything, But…

Congratulations to Wilder's Junior Creative duo Chris Chalklen & David Edwards with their amazing hat trick of awards in The 48 Hour Film Project. Their short Film Noir parody 'And Not A Word Was Spoken' won Best Cinematography, Best Direction & Best Film at the Edinburgh competition and now goes on to represent the UK in the 48 Hour Film Festival final in LA later in the year, well done boys.

Wilder, of course, have form with the 48 Hour Competition having previously won Best Film in London back in 2011 with comedy short 'Sexy Tuesdays'

Wilder To Shoot New Short “The Pitch”

Wilder To Shoot New Short “The Pitch”

Wilder, together with our good friend, director John Hardwick (Svengali & 33x Around The Sun) have started prepping short film “The Pitch” to shoot beginning of December.

The script, written by comedy duo Will Maclean & Marc Haynes, explores the extremes a desperate writer will resort to in order to win a pitch.

Will Maclean is a regular writer for the likes of Peter Serafinowics, Russell Howard and Karen Taylor, and his Shaun The Sheep episode won a Writers Guild Award, a Children's Bafta and an International Emmy.

And his partner, Marc Haynes, is the writing force behind the highly successful panel show Celebrity Juice, and is currently lead writer on the new Sky original show New Britannia, hosted by Oscar Nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me).

More updates to follow.

We’re delighted to say we’ve won the inaugaural AR Drone Film Competition with our film What a difference a drone makes. In October, 10 filmmakers from 10 cities around the world produced 10 movies in 10 days with the amazing AR.Drone 2.0 quadricopter. Wilder were chosen to represent London and beat off stiff competition to win best film and take the 10,000 dollar prize at the awards ceremony in Paris. Many thanks to all the Wilder team who worked on the film. The film will be released online in December.
